Job Purpose:
We are looking for a Workshop Controller to coordinate workshop activities, monitor job progress and technician productivity, and ensure that repairs and maintenance are completed on time and meet required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, register and monitor workshop work orders and assign jobs according to technician skills, workload and job requirements.

Track job progress and follow up on pending, delayed and completed work orders to meet agreed deadlines.

Coordinate with the Spare Parts Department to ensure required parts are available on time.

Monitor technician productivity, working hours, workshop capacity and resource utilization.

Maintain accurate system records for job cards, technician assignments, vehicle and equipment movement, and work status.

Verify that completed work meets technical and quality standards before closing work orders.

Coordinate with Service Advisors on job status, additional work and vehicle delivery commitments.

Prepare daily and periodic reports on workshop performance, pending jobs, productivity and turnaround time.

Identify workflow delays and operational issues and escalate them to the Workshop Manager.

Follow workshop procedures, safety requirements and company policies, and support improvements that reduce downtime, delays and costs.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or a relevant technical or administrative qualification.

2–5 years of experience in workshop control, automotive after-sales, maintenance or a similar role.

Good knowledge of workshop operations, workflow control, work orders and job card management.

Experience in monitoring technician productivity and workshop capacity and coordinating spare parts requirements.

Good computer skills and experience with ERP or workshop management systems.

Strong planning, coordination, follow-up, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Good communication, teamwork, reporting and KPI analysis skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple jobs and work under pressure with accuracy and professionalism.
